Three weeks to a trading plan you actually follow

A small-group futures and prop-firm education program, live with Wes. You leave with a written plan you built, 50+ practice trades logged against it, and a prop-firm evaluation underway — because every week someone checks whether you actually followed your own rules. Instruction only: Wes never tells you what to trade.

What you walk away with

A finish line, not a video library

Night Owl already has three full recorded courses — 145 lessons of self-paced material. This is the opposite of that: small, live, and taught in real time.

"In three weeks you will have written and tested your own trading plan, logged 50+ practice trades against it, and started a prop-firm evaluation — with Wes teaching you, every week, how to tell whether you actually followed it."

What is deliberately not promised: profit, income, a return, or that you'll pass the evaluation. Nobody can honestly promise those, and anyone who does is selling you something else. What is promised is instruction in a process, a structure to practise it in, and honest feedback on your discipline in following the rules you wrote.

This is education and mentorship only. Night Owl Trading Group is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, or commodity pool operator. Wes will not tell you what to buy or sell, will not recommend positions, will never touch your account or funds, and gives no advice tailored to your personal financial circumstances. Every trading decision is yours alone.

The Program

Three weeks, three gates

You don't move to the next week until the previous week's work is done. That's the whole design — it's what separates this from a course you can quietly abandon in week one.

Week 1

Build the System

  • Contract selection — MES/MNQ vs ES/NQ, tick math, and what an evaluation actually measures
  • Pick one setup. Market structure, context filter, entry/stop/target written to the specificity test
  • Live market-open rooms with Wes narrating his own process in real time — demonstration, not a recommendation to trade
  • Private 1:1 — Wes walks through your draft plan and teaches you where its rules are too vague to follow

Gate: written plan approved + 50 replay/backtested trades logged.

Week 2

Execute Under Rules

  • Sizing, stop placement, daily loss limits, trailing drawdown mechanics, consistency rules
  • Execution mechanics — bracket/OCO orders, slippage, the first 15 minutes, and what to skip
  • You practise alongside Wes as he narrates his own process out loud
  • Private 1:1 — go through your journal and learn to score your own plan compliance

Gate: 5 sessions logged at 80%+ plan compliance.

Week 3

Start the Evaluation

  • Choosing an evaluation, the pass plan, and the pace math behind it
  • Drawdown psychology, your tilt protocol, and the funded-account phase
  • Scaling, record-keeping, and what the next 90 days look like
  • Graduation: a written assessment of your process discipline — what you have mastered and what still needs reps

After: 30 days of async Q&A + a 45-minute check-in call at day 30.

Every week

The rhythm

Roughly 6–8 hours of contact time a week, plus your own screen time. Sessions are recorded, so a missed one isn't a missed week.

Honest fit check

This is not for everyone

Seats are limited and applications are reviewed personally. Turning away a bad fit is part of the job — a mismatched student is a bad experience for everyone in the room.

You're a strong fit if you…

  • Have $2–10k of genuine risk capital you can afford to lose
  • Have traded for 6+ months — even badly. You've felt it.
  • Can be at a screen for the RTH open at least 3 days a week
  • Want a futures / prop-firm path specifically
  • Are willing to be told your rules are too vague to follow, and to rewrite them

Please don't apply if you…

  • Are brand new — start with the free courses first, they're genuinely good
  • Can't attend live sessions during market hours
  • Are looking for signals, picks, tips, or someone to trade for you
  • Expect a guaranteed return, or need this to make money to pay for itself
  • Would be putting tuition on credit you can't comfortably cover

Founding cohort pricing

The first cohort runs at a reduced rate in exchange for candid feedback and, if you're happy, a testimonial at the end. That rate is not coming back.

Standard (from Cohort 2)
$4,500
8 seats · $1,000 deposit to hold
  • Identical program, access and course bundle
  • Larger cohort, less individual airtime
  • 3-pay option: 3 × $1,650
  • Priced on the founding cohort's results

No buy button on purpose. Every seat goes through an application and a conversation first — at this price it would be irresponsible to let someone check out before we've both confirmed it's a fit. A $500 deposit holds your founding seat once you're accepted (refundable up to 7 days before the start date), with the balance due before Session 1.

Refund policy: full refund if you request it within 48 hours of Session 1. After that, no cash refund — but if you completed every assignment and it didn't work for you, you get a free seat in the next cohort. There is never a guarantee tied to trading results.

How it works

From application to seat

1

Apply

The form below takes about five minutes. Be honest on it — a padded application just wastes the call.

2

Wes reviews it personally

Usually within 1–2 business days. Not everyone gets a call, and that's the point.

3

Discovery call

A 30-minute Zoom to confirm the fit runs both ways. No pitch — if it's wrong for you, you'll be told so.

4

Deposit holds your seat

$500, applied to your balance, refundable up to 7 days before the start date. Balance due before Session 1.

5

Pre-work, then day one

You'll get the Futures & Prop Firm Mastery course (included with your seat) and a short setup checklist to complete before the cohort opens.

Questions

Before you apply

Will this make me profitable?

No one can honestly answer yes to that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Most people who try to trade for a living do not succeed at it. What this program does is give you a written process, real reps against it, and someone experienced telling you where your execution is breaking down. Whether that turns into profitability depends on you, your discipline, and factors none of us control.

Is this financial advice?

No, and this is the most important thing on the page. Everything here is education and mentorship. Wes teaches a method and then teaches you to audit your own discipline against the rules you wrote — he will not tell you what to buy or sell, will not recommend or evaluate specific positions, will not give advice based on your personal financial circumstances, will not manage your account, will not take a cut of your results, and will never have access to your funds.

Night Owl Trading Group is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, or commodity pool operator, and is not registered with the SEC, CFTC, or NFA. Nothing in this program creates an advisory or fiduciary relationship, and you are solely responsible for every decision you make in your own account.

What if I miss a session?

Every teaching session and market-open room is recorded, and you keep those recordings permanently. The weekly gates still apply though — the work has to get done to move forward, whether you attended live or watched the replay.

Do I need to already have a funded account?

No. You need a broker or sim account you can trade in, and enough genuine risk capital ($2–10k) that the decisions feel real. Prop-firm evaluations are simulated accounts — Week 3 covers choosing and starting one.

Why only five seats?

Because the 1:1 reviews and daily journal feedback are the actual product, and those don't scale. Wes commits roughly 20 hours a week during a running cohort. More seats would mean less of him, which would mean a worse program.

How is this different from the 1-on-1 coaching?

Coaching sessions are à la carte — you book one when there is a specific concept you want taught. The Intensive is a structured start-to-finish path with a cohort, deadlines, gates, and daily accountability. Both are education only, on identical terms. If you know exactly what you want to learn, book a session. If you want the whole method taught and practised, this is it.

When does the founding cohort start?

Dates are confirmed with each accepted applicant before any deposit is taken — we run it when the cohort is full and everyone can commit to the same three weeks. Apply and you'll get the current target window on your discovery call.
